Dual credit communication that students can finish

Blacklight Academy stands up college-credit speech and professional communication on high school campuses. We build the section, the student support, and the instructor support so the credit posts.

THE PROBLEM

Dual credit fails without structure

Title I and first-gen students get a dual credit seat they are not ready for, or no seat at all. The course dies when nobody is staffed to teach it.

Unstaffed courses

A dual credit section fails before it starts when there is no qualified instructor to run it.

Students left unprepared

A seat without preparation is a fast path to a drop, a failed credit, or an abandoned pathway.

No support behind the teacher

Instructors carry dual credit alone, with no PD, no intervention plan, and no structure to fall back on.

Credit that never posts

When the structure breaks, the credit the student was promised never lands on a transcript.

WHAT WE RUN

The dual credit pathway, from first section to posted credit

Four supports working together so the course actually runs and the credit posts, plus a parent and counselor packet families can actually use.

WHO IT IS FOR

Built for the people who make a dual credit section work

Dual credit only works when the school, the counselor, the college, and the family are all pointed at the same credit.

Everything else we do, briefly

These run smaller, behind the dual credit focus.
